Work License
If you have been convicted of an offence of drink driving, you may be entitled to a work licence (otherwise known as a restricted licence) provided:
- the reading was < 0.15
- you were the holder of an open licence
- you were not driving in connection with your job
- you have not been disqualified from driving in the last five years for drink driving
You must convince the court that you are a fit and proper person and that a refusal to grant the restricted licence would cause you to lose your job.
The law is to be found in the Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act.
HSL can advise you, prepare all documents, and argue your case in court for a fixed fee.
